24 Hours in the Old Pueblo-In the first race of the 2012 season, the Epic Team of Brian Sells, Jason Hilimire, Deidre York, Bill Wheeler, and Kelly Feagans found themselves in a fierce battle for second place at The 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo in Tucson Arizona! The battle continued throughout the night with lead changing hands a few times, the team the were battling with, Chainring Circus was resting their fastest racers, and  then sending them out for double laps to try and eat away at our lead. At 8:00 a.m. the lead had been cut to less than 7 minutes, so it was time to employ some tactics! Team Director Bill Wheeler called on fast men Brian Sells and Jason Hilimire to do extra laps and secure the lead, and secure it they did throwing down some fast lap times without any time to rest and recover. In the end Epic prevailed and took 2nd place!

It was a fantastic weekend for both Epic Endurance Cycling Team and the Epic Pro Cycling Team who beat out the Kona Factory Racing Team to take the win in the 4 person open category! We had and awesome time which included sharing  a large encampment with our friends from Trek Bicycle Store Boulder Cycling Team, and Twenty Two Cycles Team! Well done by all! HUGE thank you to all of our partners! Without you this would not be possible!
